Ed was born in Washington D.C. in 1942. He grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland, a Washington suburb. A forester by profession, he graduated from Colorado State University in 1966. He met and married Joyce at CSU. While still a forester with Container Corporation of America, he began to sell photographs in 1987 as an extension of a long-time hobby. He took early retirement, and now is able to devote more time to photography. Joyce was born and raised in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. She worked many part and full time jobs to help put Ed through college and provide for the family. Although she has been "retired" for a number of years, she contributes a lot of time and talent to making our "cottage industry" successful. In addition, she's practically a full time grandmother! Ed and Joyce have a fifth-wheel trailer and love to travel. They have two daughters (both registered nurses and both married to paramedic/firemen) and four grandchildren. After various job assignments took them to McRae, Georgia; Waycross, Georgia; Circleville, Ohio; Chicago, Illinois; and Fernandina Beach, Florida; in 1999 they settled north of Jacksonville in Yulee, Florida. Both are proud to have been able to serve God in various capacities at Fernandina's First Presbyterian Church.
