This was the first English settlement in the present State of Georgia.  It was started in 1721 to protect England's interests from Spanish, French, and Native American forces.  Visitors to this State of Georgia Historic Site enjoy exhibits and demonstrations.  Fort King George is located just east of Darien, Georgia.  The code number of each scene is indicated, and can be used to reference it if you want more information.
